So here’s a couple of tracks from our second session last thursday. These are raw recordings from the sessions, and very much unedited / unmastered.
So this is with Chamroeun on Tro Sao, and Punisa on the Roneak Aek. We’re being ultra simple at the moment … A lot of classical khmer music is quite “maximal” (lots of notes and instruments all the time) so as much as anything else, we have been playing with creating silence, Steve Reich-esque repetitions, spaces for listening etc etc.
